Last Blog of 2009

Funny bumper sticker: I'M ONLY SPEEDING BECAUSE I HAVE TO POOP.

Let's end the year 2009 with a smile and pray that 2010 will be a better year for all of us. I haven't made any New Year's resolutions because I never keep them beyond New Year's Day anyway; so if I don't make any I won't be disappointed in my failure to keep them.

Happy New Year dear friends. I'll see you in 2010.

Hello

Wow! It's been a while since I posted something. I had to put my older cat Molly to sleep about a month ago. That's always hard. The other cats miss her as much as I do.

I could go on and on about the health care bill Obama is trying to shove down our throats but I'm tired of all the crap he and his Chicago cronies are trying to get pushed through the Senate. I'm even tired of talking about it.

Everyone have a wonderful Christmas and if someone says, "Happy Holidays" to you; look them in the eye, smile, and say, "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" That's what the season is about---Christ. Don't be afraid to say so.

Leaving Facebook

Well, I've been on Facebook for some time now and I decided today that it was time for me to get off Facebook and do more beneficial things. Why am I leaving? I decided that for me it would be foolish to stay.

Now don't start sending me angry emails. I'm only speaking for myself. If you like it; stay. I can only do what I feel is best for me. It seemed beneficial for a while because I did find some contacts that I had lost track of, but lets face it, I lost track of them in the first place because they were acquaintances, NOT real friends. We all lose touch with acquaintances in our lives. Sometimes it's because we move, or because we change jobs and those people begin to fade as our new interests take precedence. But we never lose contact with our REAL friends..those people who are nearest and dearest to our hearts, and in the end.....they are the ones we have strong connections with and will never fade into the past.

So I guess in summation, I just don't need Facebook. I'll use the phone when I want to speak to my dearest friends to let them know what's going on in my life and theirs. As for the "acquaintances" I've reconnected with through Facebook? Something tells me they won't even know I'm gone..........

Nobama Takes Over The Networks Tonight

Nobama is making another attempt tonight on all the networks, to ram this health care bill up our collective anuses. Never mind that all the polls suggest that the MAJORITY of Americans don't want this. Even the Dems have their doubts, but you know that Nobama doesn't like being told no, so hence his hijacking of our networks to give us all LIES (not facts) to help persuade us to come over to his side.

And just for those of you who think it is a wonderful idea....you better check the facts yourself and talk to a few Canadians who have socialized medicine. Maybe then you'll open your eyes. There's no such think as a free lunch folks! When you put government in the mix, it will fail and it will cost over 1.8 TRILLION dollars. Ask our elected officials if they're willing to give up their cushy health care plan for the plan they are proposing for us. That will tell you more then any prime time network spiel Nobama is planning tonight.

I've been pretty quiet for a while. Can't believe this crazy world sometimes. I just shake my head and turn off the news. You can only take so much sometime.

Nobama just keeps going and going. He's the energizer bunny personified. He can't spend money fast enough. Everything is URGENT and has to be pushed through before anyone can even read what it's all about. I think what I am most amazed about is how vain he is. Everything is all about him, no matter how minor. Even at The All Star Game in St. Louis when he pitched the ball to Pujols---he had a talk with Pujols before hand and asked him to catch the ball even if he had to run to it. Can you believe that kind of vanity? It just boggles my mind.

SotoMayor will be nominated. The Repubs asked her some questions but let me remind you it was nothing like the bloodbath the Dems put Alito through when he went through the nomination process. Alito's wife was in tears, remember? The Dems can be so two faced. They're tearing this country apart and pitting American's against American's. Where is all that "reach across the aisle" stuff we heard before Nobama was elected??

The CIA so called hit list against top Al Queada leaders? What a great idea! Am I the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with that? I have come to the conclusion that Leon Panetta is a pantywaist.

I saved the best for last: Did you hear about the officer who was called back to Iraq or Afghanistan for another tour of duty? It was a short blurb in the paper (naturally). He's a Major or officer of some sort and he refuses to go and cites the fact that our "commander in chief" has no right to order him to go since he is not really the "commander in chief" BECAUSE Nobama can't prove unequivocally that he is a US citizen, therefore he can't command anything. I absolutely love the unmitigated gall of this officer to question Nobama's heritage. ROTFLMAO! GOOD FOR HIM! And with that I'll sign off....

Well, unless you live in a cave, by now you are aware that two celebs died this week on the same day: Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett

I was never a big Michael Jackson fan. I liked some of his music but not enough to go out and buy. I loved to see him dance though! He was a troubled soul from early on and only became more so as he got older.

I never believed the sexual molestation charges (he was acquitted in 2005). He just seemed an easy prey for some people. I was sad to hear of his passing. The press is clamoring for details of course. Was he on major pain killers? Was it a drug overdose gone wrong?

Do we really need to know? In the end, he's still gone. All the money and fame in the world don't mean anything in that crucial moment when you meet your Maker. It's a lone journey with no screaming fans present. I hope you're at peace Michael. You deserve that.

I loved Farrah Fawcett! Everyone remembers her "big hair" and that famous poster that sold more then any other poster in all time. Every teenage boy had that poster on his wall in the late seventies and into the eighties. I wore my hair Farrah Fawcett style way into the nineties.

Her fight with cancer finally ended. Her life was over way too soon. She was a courageous lady and will always be remembered for the valiant fight she made for her life. Sadly, Michael Jackson died the same day and she did not get the recognition she deserved because his death upstaged hers. You're gone but not forgotten Farrah. Rest in peace. You deserve it.
